BMT Class Day 3
This will conclude our 3-class series for our new hire nurses. Occurring 12-14 months from hire, this class will cover long-term care follow-up and immune reconstitution. We will also discuss boundaries and end-of-life care. Following that, we will practice real life scenarios and guide the learners through the decision-making process.

Following this course the learner will be able to
- Describe late complications of HSCT
- Recognize risk factors associated with late complications of HSCT
- Identify tests to monitor long-term complications of HSCT
- Describe the recommended follow-up for HSCT survivors.
- Identify boundaries of the nursing practice and how to practice professionalism
- Recognize the use of Remains Tracker and how to effectively navigate it
- Describe post-mortem care and how best to proceed with families
- Recognize common scenarios in the allo/auto population and how they can be navigated.
