This class will educate the nurses caring for burn patient on the med surg unit.
Target Audience
New Nurses caring for burn patients
Learning Objectives
The participant will be able to discuss the management of a burn patient on 11E and burn care emergencies
The participant will be able to demonstrate how to apply a burn dressing and wash a burn face
The participant will be to describe the importance of nutritional supplements in the healing of burn wound
The participant will be able to discuss the goals of physical therapy and occupational therapy in the burn patient recovery.
