Cancer Documentation and ICD-10-CM Coding

May 16, 2024

Program Description

Please join us for a live, continuing medical education (CME)-accredited webinar on cancer documentation and ICD-10-CM coding.

During this presentation, we will provide a comprehensive overview of official documentation and coding guidelines needed for proper cancer reporting, focusing on:

  • “History of” documentation.
  • Definitions of active disease/treatment versus monitoring for recurrence.
  • Solid tumors, lymphoma, and leukemia.
  • Primary versus secondary (metastatic).
  • Documentation examples for proper ICD-10-CM code assignment.

Attendees registered as a certified coder will receive an additional post-webinar email from RAeducation@upmc.edu with the AAPC Certificate. Coders do not need to register on this website.

This activity has been designated as and meets the Pennsylvania licensure requirement for Patient Safety-Risk Management Credit. It is the responsibility of the learner to maintain the educational presentation or conference agenda as evidence, if needed for audit purposes.
