The course is designed to cover the basics of setting up the OR Suite, equipment, and steps in performing robotic assisted pancreatic resections.
Schedule
* Must wear a facemask at all times while inside any UPMC facility.
Saturday, 1/29
• 8:00 AM: Meet Jasmine in the Robotic Training Lab, Eye and Ear, Floor 1, Room 100
• 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM: System Overview and Simulation Pretest
• 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM: 2 GJ Drills
Sunday, 1/30
• 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM: Simulation Curriculum
Monday, 1/31
• 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM: Simulation Posttest
• 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM: 2 GJ Drills
Tuesday, 2/1
• 7:45 AM: Meet Jasmine at Starbucks, 1st floor of UPMC Presbyterian Hospital (PUH)
• Jasmine will take you to get scrubs, the locker room to drop off your belongings, and will then bring you to the OR.
• 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM: Whipple Observation
• 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM: Biotissue Drills
Wednesday, 2/2
• 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM: Biotissue Drills
• 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM: Biotissue Drills
Thursday, 2/3
• 7:45 AM: Meet Jasmine at Starbucks, 1st floor of UPMC Presbyterian Hospital (PUH)
• Jasmine will take you to get scrubs, the locker room to drop off your belongings, and will then bring you to the OR.
• 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM: Whipple Observation
• 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM: Lunch and Didactics in 1275-F Presbyterian
• 6:15 PM: Dinner at SOBA in Shadyside
Friday, 2/4
• 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM: Biotissue Drills
• 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM: Biotissue Drills
• Plus OR Case Observations
Saturday, 2/5
• 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM: Biotissue Drills
