The Clinical Development Series is designed to equip clinicians to be effective in their practice.

Target Audience

This course is open to nurse clinicians at UPMC St. Margaret.

Learning Objectives

At the completion of this series, the learner will:

  • Understand the key components in performance management
  • Promote a culture of safety in the department, including patient safety reporting and A Just Culture
  • Practice conflict resolution skills and how to handle negativity
  • Discuss the role of the clinician in shared governance
  • Describe ways to prevent workplace violence
