This session will educate clinicians on providing compassionate and culturally sensitive care to fasting patients during Ramadan. The session will explore the spiritual significance of fasting, common medical challenges encountered in fasting patients, and strategies for delivering care that aligns with both health priorities and religious practices.

1. Recognize the unique health risks fasting poses to patients during Ramadan, such as dehydration, glycemic emergencies, and exacerbation of chronic conditions.

3. Apply culturally sensitive communication strategies to engage fasting patients in shared decision-making regarding their health.
