This course was designed because there is an increased volume of new nurses with limited cardiac lactation experience who need education and understanding of the feeding and growing of cardiac neonates.

After completing this activity, the learner will be able to:
- identify regulations for using oral care with maternal breast milk in the neonatal/pediatric cardiac population.
- identify process for utilization of donor milk and milk enhancements
