Creating and Maintaining an Inclusive Older Adult Experience

Join UPMC Senior Services for an opportunity to learn more about the 2020 census and the impact on services for older adults.  

This is free event, however social workers seeking credit will be charged $10 to cover the cost of a certificate and credit will issued separately  from the University of Pittsburgh. 

Target Audience

This program is open to the community and healthcare professionals caring for older adults.  

Learning Objectives

 

Upon completion of the program, the attendee will be able to:

  • Learn how the census impacts communities.
  • Discuss the financial implications of a low participation rate.
  • Discuss how health care professionals can help make sure there is a fair and accurate count.
  • Learn about the Area Agency on Aging and its role in the community.
  • Learn about the services offered by the Area Agency on Aging.
  • Discuss who can be served by the Area Agency on Aging.
  • Discuss how healthcare professionals can work with the Area Agency on Aging.

These credit hours satisfy requirements for

Other health care professionals will receive a certificate of attendance confirming the number of contact hours commensurate with the extent of participation in this activity.

 Nursing Home Administrator credits have been applied for through the State Board of Examiners of Nursing Home Administrators.
