Description: This training provides a foundational introduction to Crisis Management, with a focus on building understanding, awareness, and practical skills. Participants will explore what constitutes a crisis and examines how trauma impacts individuals in diverse ways. Emphasis will be placed on prevention by considering the role of self-awareness, the individuals we serve, and environmental factors in reducing risk.

The session will also cover recognizing early signs of escalation, understanding the pathway to intended violence, and clarifying our roles and responsibilities during a crisis. In addition, participants will learn strategies for self-regulation and maintaining safety, enhancing their ability to effectively assess situations, respond appropriately, and avoid common pitfalls during crisis interactions.
