Diabetes Boot Camp 2: Insulin Pumps, Continuous Glucose Monitors, Smart Pens, and Leveraging Diabetes Technology in Diabetes Care October 2025
This class will provide attendees with an opportunity to learn how to safely care for patients admitted to the hospital wearing an insulin pump or CGM (continuous glucose monitor). This includes a review of the systemwide policies and standardized Power Plans. This class provides up-close, hands-on experience with the latest technology.

Learning Objectives
Attendees will: (1) be able to explain what insulin pump therapy and continuous glucose monitoring is and how they can be leveraged to improve the lives of people living with diabetes; (2) be able to define basal, bolus, correction, carb ratio, AID (automated insulin delivery) and auto vs. manual mode with respect to insulin pump therapy; (3) explain three essential parts of the systemwide insulin pump and CGM policy.
