Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
- Describe validated substance use screening tools and diagnosis of substance use disorders using DSM-5 criteria.
- List FDA-approved medications for treatment of opioid use disorder and understand their mechanisms of action.
- Compare efficacy of different pharmacologic treatments for opioid use disorder.
- Discuss various initiation methods for medications for opioid use disorder.
