Discussion of Substances with Inappropriate Use Liability and Review of Drug Trends
This activity will increase the knowledge base of the attendee regarding substances with improper use liability and current drug supply trends.
Learning Objectives
1. Describe how highly-potent synthetic opioids entered the drug supply and the expected effects on the consumer thereof.
2. Discuss remaining vigilant for clients who may advertently or inadvertently expose themselves to fentanyl analogues and the extreme danger this poses.
3. List other substances that can be categorized as opioids or opioid-like and their expected effects on the consumer.
4. Name substances that can be categorized as central nervous system depressants and their expected effects on the consumer.
5. Identify substances that can be described as central nervous system stimulants and their expected effects on the consumer.
6. Recall substances that would be considered dissociatives or hallucinogens and describe their expected effects on the consumer.
This course will be held virtually via Teams.
