1) At the conclusion of this session, participants should be able to identify the major forms of interpersonal violence, and the types of behaviors abusers employ to control victims.

2) At the conclusion of this session, participants should be able to identify the physical and mental health effects of trauma due to exposure to interpersonal violence and recognize them in their patient/clients.

3) At the conclusion of this session, participants should be able to respond effectively to patient/clients who may be experiencing interpersonal violence.

4) At the conclusion of this session, participants should be able to appropriately refer patient/clients to their local comprehensive domestic violence agency.
