This in-service will review an article related to High-Flow nasal cannula oxygen therapy used for preventing reintubation. The need for this in-service will provide education on how different tactics can be used to prevent extubation and prevent reintubation of critically ill patients.

The learner will be able to review and discuss the results of a randomized clinical trial published in a peer review journal

The learner will be able to discuss current practices around the effect of postextubation noninvasive ventilation

The learner will be able to review and discuss clinical implications of the results of this randomized clinical trial and if practice can be changed
