 The participant will be able to recognize changes in 12 Lead EKG and types of MI and nursing care to provide.

The participant will recognize the signs and symptoms of sepsis and nursing care to provide.

 The participant will be able to identify appropriate pharmacotherapy for various the cardiac emergencies. along with normal dosing, monitoring, and adverse effect of these cardiac medications.

The participant will be able to recognize the signs of respiratory failure and identify common causes of respiratory distress and failure.

 The participant be able to identify the components of the trauma initial assessment of ABC's and initial care of a burn patient prior to transfer to a burn center.

The participant will be able to discuss the use of airway modalities used in the treatment of airway emergencies.

The participant will identify common electrolyte imbalances and blood disorders along with their discernable clinical manifestations and treatments.

The participant will identify the clinical features associated with various gastrointestinal disorders.

 The participant will identify the clinical features associated with various gynecological emergencies - such as STI's, PID, Emergent delivery.

 The participant will discuss techniques to assist with assessment and care of a pediatric patient and discuss abnormal vital signs in the pediatric patient.

The participant will discuss the assessment and care of a geriatric patient and discuss assessment delirium.

The participant will have a basic understanding of the types of patients who are victims of violence, and the policy and procedures related to the care of and treatment of victims of violence.
