Emergency Preparedness – Hospital Disaster Response
An internal/external disaster can occur at any time. Hospital disaster response plans are updated as indicated. This presentation will clarity current practice and will allow APP staff to be up to date on current disaster response plans to empower APPs to confidently respond to a disaster alert.

- Identify how CHP defines disasters.
- Examine the goals of disaster response efforts for victims, existing patients, staff, business, and the community.
- Discuss best practices, review lessons learned from real events, and collaborate with peers on ways to improve our plans.
