This lecture will discuss the new medications and old medications used in the care of trauma patients. There are many new nurses who are not familiar with the latest medications used for sedation, intubation, and DVT prevention in trauma patients

Recognize when administering a new medication to call pharmacy to review the potential side effects and dosage of the new medication.

Identify sign and systems of an adverse drug reaction the reversal agent
