UPMC Hillman Cancer Center healthcare professions who will be administering, ordering or managing chemotherapy and biotherapy medications.

Objectives

  • Upon completion of this activity, the learner will be able to:
  • Describe the safe administration of antineoplastic and supportive therapies.
  • Recall the management of a patient with an extravasation.
  • Discuss the management of a hypersensitivity reaction.
  • Recognize risks that lead to medication errors and strategies to prevent errors.
