Learning Objectives

The learner will be able to

  1. Explain resources available from the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
  2. Identify risk factors that may lead to the development of hematologic malignancies.
  3. Examine testing and procedures used to diagnose and stage patients with hematologic malignancies.
  4. Compare and contrast the treatment modalities used for patients with hematologic malignancies.
  5. Recognize indications for the use of blood products in patients with cancer.
  6. Recall adverse effects of treatment modalities associated with hematologic malignancies.
