Heart Safe Schools - LIVE
The activity will bring light to the need for schools to have a cardiac emergency response plan and how they can partner with the Hospital and through Project ADAM to develop the goals of the plan. They will work with other nurses among their school district and within the community to help with the overall goal of providing our kids with a safe environment to learn, grow, and play.

Following this program the learner will:
- Be able to describe the Project ADAM National Program.
- List what is needed to become a Heart Safe School.
- Be able to recognize a cardiac arrest and know how to respond.
- Know the importance of AEDs

In support of improving patient care, this activity has been planned and implemented by the University of Pittsburgh and the Pennsylvania Affiliate of the National Association of Clinical Nurse Specialists.
