Heart Transplant & Management: Pediatric Considerations August 2025
Nurses in the cardiac intensive and acute care units have a practice/knowledge gap to caring for pediatric heart patients. This course will review physiology for heart transplant, transplant medications including saftey concerns and pediatric leveling for transplant listing.

- Learners will be able to identify types of congenital and acquired heart disease resulting in the need for a pediatric heart transplant.
- Learners will be able to describe common nursing care and protection associated with pediatric heart transplant medications.
