      1. Dr. Jennifer H. Lingler – biography:
      2. Dr. Lingler’s research focuses on provider-patient communication, health behaviors, and psychosocial and ethical implications of late-life cognitive impairment. Over the past 20 years, her research has been supported by the John A. Hartford Foundation, Brookdale Foundation, Neurosciences Nursing Foundation, Alzheimer’s Association, National Institute on Aging and National Institute for Nursing Research. Dr. Lingler leads the School of Nursing’s Hartford Center for Gerontological Nursing Research. She also leads the Outreach, Recruitment and Engagement Core and co-leads the Research Education Component of the University of Pittsburgh Alzheimer Disease Research Center (P50 AG005133; PI: Lopez).

      1. Presentation: “Biomarker Testing for Alzheimer's Disease: How Can We Ensure the Responsible Return of Results?”
      2. Topic: This presentation will discuss the clinicians' role in pre-test counseling and post-disclosure support for individuals undergoing biomarker testing for Alzheimer's disease. Findings from a randomized controlled trial of the psychological and behavioral effect of learning AD biomarker results will be presented and future directions will be discussed.
