This discussion of the article will ensure that staff understand the multiple organ systems that are affected by MPS II (including behavioral problems d/t neuro involvement), all of the supportive care therapies, and the stress this puts on the family. Also, need to understand that Enzyme Replacement Therapy only does so much to delay progression of the condition.

This activity will allow the infusion nurses to gain a more complete picture of everything MPS II families have to deal with.
