This in-service will provide the nurses education on caring for the diabetic patient. A comprehensive review of the disease process and insulin administration will be provided.
The learner will recognize two patient safety steps to take when administering insulin, a high-risk medication
The learner will identify three resources available for employees education
The learner will verbalize the role of the certified diabetic educator within the patient's care team
