Magee-Womens UPMC Hamot Education & Simulation 3.16.23

March 16, 2023

As maternal morbidity and mortality in the Unites States has continued to rise, almost doubling over the last 30 years, it is imperative that hospital staff are provided with current education on the leading causes such as hemorrhage and hypertensive disorders of pregnancy, as well as a safe training environment for simulation drills, discussions, case studies, and feedback. It is the goal of Magee-Womens UPMC Hamot to ensure staff are competent in providing safe, quality care that contributes to the reduction of maternal morbidity and mortality.
