This course those who are struggling due to the behavioral health field being overwhelmed, as well as a lack of awareness in what to do and how to help.

Learning Objectives

At the conclusion of this course, learners should be able to:

1. Recognize signs that indicate that someone may be developing a mental health challenge or experiencing a mental health crisis.

2.Describe how to approach someone who may be developing a mental health challenge or experiencing a mental health crisis.

3. Ask a person whether they are having thoughts of suicide.

4. Demonstrate: Listen to and interact with a person without expressing judgment about their situation.

5. Demonstrate: Offer a person information and support about mental health challenges.

6. List support resources available to patients and self.
