This course assists those who are struggling due to the behavioral health field being overwhelmed, as well as a lack of awareness in what to do and how to help.

Learning Objectives
At the conclusion of this course, participants should be able to:
1. Recognize signs and symptoms of various mental health and substance use challenges.
2. Assess when someone (colleague/patient/visitor/family member/friend) may be in crisis.
3. Engage in a 5-step action plan (A.L.G.E.E.) to empathetically and effectively offer assistance.
4. Refer individuals in distress to appropriate levels of care.
