Target Audience

Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants

Learning Objectives

After the presentation, attendees will be able to:

  • Determine which extremely premature neonates qualify for inclusion in the NANO trial (provision of antibiotics vs. placebo) and when to use rescue medications.
  • Identify patients that qualify for NANO trial inclusion and rescue medications.
  • Be able to appropriately refer patients to the trial and utilize rescue medications.

The University of Pittsburgh has been authorized by the American Academy of PAs (AAPA) to award AAPA Category 1 CME credit for activities planned in accordance with AAPA CME Criteria.  This activity is designated for 1.0 AAPA Category 1 CME credits.  PA should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation.
