This course will review medical management of neonatal disorders will enable NICU bedside nurses to plan patient care interventions.

Upon completion of this course the learner will be able to:
- Identify current concepts in the treatment of necrotizing enterocolitis.
- Discuss surgical interventions used to treat common neonatal disorders
- Discuss the clinical presentation and management of septic newborns
- Discuss the pathophysiology of Neonatal Hypoxic brain injury.
- Describe three attributes of leaders and discuss two applications to your nursing practice
- Discuss the role of the bedside nurse at end of life.
