Neurosurgical Society of Pittsburgh Annual Meeting
This meeting will provide a forum for neurosurgeons, trainees (residents, and fellows), and advanced practice providers (APPs) from the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) and Allegheny Health Network (AHN) to discuss the latest updates and controversies/challenges in neurosurgery focused on education/training paradigms, new disruptive technologies, and a variety of CNS disorders (cerebrovascular/neurovascular, epilepsy, intraoperative monitoring, movement disorders, neurocritical care, neuro-oncology, peripheral nerve, skull base, spine, sports medicine, stroke, and trauma).
The meeting theme will be Intraoperative Visualization, Localization, and Therapy in Neurosurgery.
Target Audience
Neurosurgeons, trainees (residents and fellows), and advanced practice providers (APPs) from the UPMC and AHN.
Learning Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, participants will be able to:
1. Evaluate interventions for a variety of neurosurgical disorders.
2. Evaluate current patient strategies to align with updated practices in neurosurgery.
3. Evaluate education/training paradigms in neurosurgery
4. Examine the use of new disruptive technologies in neurosurgery that include robotics, artificial intelligence, and imaging.
