New Burn Nurse Course
This class will discuss the care of the burn patient - from admission to discharge. The lectures will provide education on burns, dressing changes, surgical procedures, therapy , nutrition that the new burn nurse needs to know to provide great care to these patients.

Discuss the types of burn injuries
Identify different types of dressing used for burn wound care.
Place a hand splint on a patient correctly.
Discuss the importance of weekly weights in a burn patient.
Discuss the importance of supplements used in burn wound healing.
