This course was designed to educate staff on what CORE does and how we play a role in the donation process. Additionally they will gain knowledge on how NICU patients differ than other organ donation patients.

After completing this activity, the learner will be able:

  • state the criteria for calling CORE for NICU patients
  • state the time in which CORE must be called on all patients who meet criteria
  • describe the process of organ donation for the Neonate
