This course is designed to train new Nurse Residency Facilitators to support nurses within the UPMC Nurse Residency Program.
Target Audience
Nurses new to the role of Nurse Residency Facilitator.
Learning Objectives
Discuss the purpose and impact of nurse residency programs for new graduate nurses.
Identify the roles of the nurse residency facilitator.
Review managing challenging group dynamics.
Simulate challenging situations in mock clinical reflections scenarios.
The UPMC Nurse Residency Facilitator Training provides new Nurse Residency Facilitators with the knowledge and skills to coach, mentor, and support nurses in the residency program in a small group setting.
