Nursing Impact Symposium 2025: Transforming Nursing Practice

The  Nursing Impact Symposium provides nurses with knowledge and tools to empower change in their practice. Nurses are novices when it comes to evidence-based practice , Quality Improvement, and Nursing Research. Content experts will provide a variety of methods for nurses to become empowered to drive change and improve outcomes in the healthcare setting.

Learning Objectives

The learner will be able to identify key components to becoming a successful preceptor

The learner will be able to describe ways preceptors can mentor and coach orientees

The learner will be able to discuss strategies to decrease moral distress in nurses

The learner will be able to discuss outcomes associated with formal charge nurse orientation

The learner will be able to define music therapy 

The learner will be able to discuss the role of the music therapist as an alternative modality in managing cancer and chemotherapy related symptoms in ovarian cancer survivors 

The learner will be able to explain how individualized music therapy sessions can improve quality of life and decrease anxiety for ovarian cancer survivors
