What Can You Do When Traditional Treatments Don’t Work

Ketamine and Esketamine are the latest drugs getting lot of attention for their promise in treating treatment resistant depression. Esketamine got approved by FDA for use in treatment resistant depression earlier this summer. This introductory presentation with provide information on the scientific data on the efficacy of these drugs, their side effects and limitations.

 

Learning Objectives

 

By the completion of this session, participants should be able to:

1. Articulate the options for patients if traditional treatments fail

2. Describe concerns related to the use of Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS)

3. Describe concerns related to the use of Ketamine or Esketamin
