Learning Objectives
• Understand current evidence, recommendations, and resources on safe storage, handling and feeding expressed human milk.
• Identify appropriate storage temperature, thawing, and warming procedures for expressed human milk.
• Understand feeding preparation, including fortification.
• Prevent contamination, misadministration, and other errors when handling expressed milk.
• Utilize strategies to increase convenience and minimize waste associated with expressed human milk.
