At the end of this session, participants will be able to understand:
- How to avoid weight bias when addressing healthy weight with your patients
- Why diet and exercise is often not enough for successful weight loss in children with obesity
- How to apply the new AAP Clinical Practice Guideline: Evaluation and treatment of Children and Adolescents with Obesity in your practice
- That there are multiple FDA approved medications for weight loss available for children 12 years and over that are safe and effective with medical supervision
