Pediatric Collaborative Call: Pediatric Asthma Management Guideline Updates

The presentation will include an overview of the latest 2020 Pediatric Asthma Management Guidelines, including the use of as-needed courses of inhaled corticosteroids in the management of mild persistent asthma, the use of single-inhaler maintenance and reliever therapy (SMART) in moderate persistent asthma, and strategies and potential barriers to the implementation of new asthma management guidelines. The presentation will also share UPMC Health Plan asthma resources.

Target Audience

Physicians, Nurses, Medical Directors, and Staff, in the specialties of Pediatric Medicine and Family Practice.
