
Pennsylvania Immunization Education Program (IEP)
Target Audience
This training is primarily directed to Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, Nurses, Physician Assistants and other clinical staff.
Learning Objectives
Part 1:
At the conclusion of this activity/session/course, participants should be able to:
- Summarize the benefits of vaccines
- Describe the refrigeration requirement for vaccine storage
- Discuss important emergency plan elements for vaccine storage
Part 2:
At the conclusion of this activity/session/course, participants should be able to:
- Describe the most up-to-date vaccine recommendations
- Identify the newly recommended vaccines
- Share best practices for vaccine administration
Part 3:
At the conclusion of this activity/session/course, participants should be able to:
- List the available COVID-19 Vaccines and what age groups they can be administered to
- Describe 2 strategies to share when speaking to a caregiver that is opposed to getting their child immunized
- Provide at least one example of a practice initiative that will help ensure children receive their vaccines
