Person-centered Approach for Trauma Informed Care_Enduring
This session focuses on trauma-informed care and how to use a person-centered approach in clinical conversations with members and patients. There will be a case study review and an opportunity for the practice of principles.
Target Audience
UPMC Health Plan clinical staff supporting behavior change, including Nurses, Nurse Practitioners, and clinical staff.
SPECIAL NOTE: There is no educational content to this course. This course is designed to supplement training that has already occurred. This course is designed to only administer the post-test and collect CME evaluations.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
Describe what trauma-informed care is and the principles of trauma-informed care
Recognize signs of trauma and how to avoid re-traumatization
Identify strategies for a person-centered approach in all clinical conversations
