Physician for Physician Peer Support Training 6.7.23

June 7, 2023

Many physicians experience distress related to adverse events and cumulative work stress, but fear seeking support through traditional mental health services. UPMC Physicians for Physicians provides access to trained peer supporters as an initial point of contact for physicians experiencing distress. Access to peer support can alleviate distress on its own, and peer supporters can connect those in need of additional support to resources at UPMC.
