Precepting the Neonatal Advanced Practice Provider
This course was designed because when preceptors are engaged in teaching and supporting new learners, the new learners feel welcomed and encouraged to learn and take on a new role. When new learners feel supported they can function with other members of the healthcare team, thus providing safe and competent care to the patients and families.
After completing this activity, the learner will be able to:
- Form a definition of the term "preceptor"
- Identify the role of preceptor and their responsibilities
- Identify resources as a preceptor
