This course was designed to help preceptors learn to properly assess and evaluate competency in new nurses.

After completing this activity, the learner will be able to:
- identify three methods of competency evaluation according to the Donna Wright Competency Assessment (2021) Model.
- describe how to access the new initial competency assessment and evaluation tool via UPMC SharePoint.
