SATA WEST COAST LIVER TRANSPLANT ANESTHESIA MEETING 2023
Course Description
This SATA regional meeting is a hybrid (in-person and virtual) meeting that has been designed to provide a broad spectrum of clinicians a review of the latest updates on a variety of intra-operative and critical care management topics in liver transplant anesthesia.
Target Audience
Physician, Transplant anesthesiologists, Intensivists, Transplant Surgeons, Residents, and Fellows
Learning Objectives
1.) To understand the selection of transplant candidates for liver transplant who are admitted in ICU
2.) To review the perioperative management for combined heart-liver transplant
3.) To review regional anesthesia options for hepato-biliary surgeries
4.) To review the practice for early extubation following liver transplant
5.) To review the ERAS protocol for liver transplant
6.) To review the use of Acumen devices in liver transplant
7.) To understand the donor selection for liver transplant.
