School Nurse Advisory Group - June 8,2023
This program will help establish a school-health partnership between local schools and Children’s hospital and primary care clinicians. Without an identified partnership and guidance on working together, there have been gaps in care and communication. The School Nurse Advisory Group will help increase knowledge among all clinical providers to improve care and communication.

Following this program the learner will be able to list ways a lack of coordination and communication between clinical providers and school nurses that disrupts continuity of care during the school day
In support of improving patient care, the University of Pittsburgh is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.
Nursing:
The maximum number of hours awarded for this Continuing Nursing Education activity is 1.5 contact hours.
Other health care professionals will receive a certificate of attendance confirming the number of contact hours commensurate with the extent of participation in this activity.
