School Nurse Advisory Group Meeting - May 2026
The School Nurse Advisory Group is an initiative of UPMC Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh Quality Services and Community Health Division focused on improving quality of care for students by increasing care coordination and community between school nurses and clinical partners. The group meets quarterly to share best practices, discuss clinical practices, provide updates on resources for school nurses, and discuss projects that the group is working on.

Learning Objectives
At the end of this activity, participants will be able to -
- Identify gaps in communication pathways between clinical providers and school nurses
- Develop best practices for communicating with clinical providers to enhance patient care in the school setting
- Analyze treatment guidelines in schools to identify areas of opportunity to improve patient care
In support of improving patient care, the University of Pittsburgh is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.
The maximum number of hours awarded for this Continuing Nursing Education activity is 1.5 contact hours.
