Spring Simulation 6.10.2022

West Mifflin, PA US
June 10, 2022

Practical conference which will provide the nurse learner updates on patient care with respect to Intra-Aortic Balloon pumps, high risk obstetrics, acute respiratory distress syndrome, pediatric trauma and advanced airway management.  High fidelity simulations in which the nurse learner will participate will allow the nurse learner to demonstrate understanding and integration of care concepts.

Target Audience

  1. Summarize the indications for advanced airway management of the patient in shock
  2. Demonstrate effective pre-oxygenation and resuscitation of the patient prior to induction and intubation
  3. Demonstrate needle decompression of the patient suffering from pneumothorax related to trauma prior to induction and intubation
  4. Demonstrate effective endotracheal intubation utilizing the approved skills checklist and demonstrate failed airway maneuvers with iGel supraglottic airway device
