TCRN Review Course - August 14, 2023
This is day one of a 2 day review course to prepare nurses who care for trauma patients to pass the certification exam. This course will discuss care of the trauma patient along the continuum of care from initial assessment to discharge .
Target Audience
RN's who care for trauma patients.
Learning Objectives
The participant will have an understanding of the TCRN test design and questions related to trauma patient care.
The participant will be able to identify the key components of shock in a trauma patient and nursing assessment and interventions to care for a trauma patient in shock.
The participant will be able to discuss professional issues in caring for trauma patients.
The participant will be able to discuss the common mechanism of injury see in trauma patient and be able to predict traumatic injuries.
The participant will discuss the nursing assessment of a pregnant, geriatric, pediatric and bariatric trauma patient.
The participant will identify changes in neuro status and nursing interventions with a trauma patient with neuro and spine trauma.
