This course was designed because participants are new to treating transplant patients and their families and lack knowledge regarding metabolic disorders and transplantation. 

In order to claim your credits, you must complete the quiz with a passing score of 100% and complete the course evaluation.

  • discuss infection concerns for transplant recipients
  • define specific labs values for liver recipients
  • discuss care of the child with acute liver failure
  • state functions of the liver 
  • state consequences of ascites 
  • discuss why we do liver transplants for metabolic disorders
