Nursing Research Residency Program

To provide learners with a foundational understanding of the principles, processes, and significance of research, enabling them to critically engage with research literature and appreciate the role of research in advancing knowledge and solving real-world problems.

Target Audience

Nurses at UPMC Hamot enrolled in the Nursing Research Residency Program

Learning Objectives

To develop learners’ basic understanding of measurement principles and statistical techniques used in research, enabling them to select appropriate tools, analyze data accurately, and interpret results effectively to support conclusions.

  • Define key statistical terms relevant to nursing research
  • Interpret the results of statistical analysis within the context of a nursing research study.
